Overview:

This unit is about identifying, planning and establishing appropriate processes and procedures to manage risks so that you can take precautions to protect your work. Risks could be external for example, environmental, political, social or economic or internal such as health and safety.

As a freelancer you will be proactive in the development of your creative skills, for example, as a designer or sector specific practices, for example, as an art educator. You will need to develop business, marketing and administration skills to support your work in creative and cultural industries including cultural heritage, design, visual, literary and performing arts, advertising, craft, and music sectors.
